:: Distance selling notice in respect of payment protection insurance
The following applies in the event that you have taken out a payment protection policy.
General Information
FEXCO Asset Finance Ltd of 12 Ely Place, Dublin 2 (info@fexcoassetfinance.ie) act as intermediary in the sale of payment protection insurance to you. The payment protection insurance product is provided by Cardif Pinnacle, the trading name of the Irish registered branch of Pinnacle Insurance plc, having registered branch number 905216 and registered address of 5 George's Dock, IFSC, Dublin 2 and VAT number 629345228. Cardif Pinnacle is authorised by the UK's Financial Services Authority.
Business of payment protection insurance
One of the businesses of Cardif Pinnacle is that of offering payment protection insurance in respect of the finance arrangements provided by companies such as FEXCO Asset Finance Ltd.
Total Price
The total price to be paid by you in connection with payment protection insurance varies and is a proportion of the overall finance that you take out. The price shall be advised to you at the time of purchase of payment protection. Payment is by means of direct debit.
Your Right to Cancel
You can cancel your policy of insurance within 30 days of receipt of your policy documents, by writing to Cardif Pinnacle, 5 George's Dock, IFSC, Dublin 1. If you cancel Cardif Pinnacle will refund you any premiums paid provided that you have not made a claim. If you do not cancel, your insurance cover shall remain in place and you shall continue to pay your premiums to Cardif Pinnacle.
Term and Termination
Your policy of insurance shall remain in place throughout the duration of your finance. You may terminate your policy of insurance on 30 days notice, by writing to Cardif Pinnacle, 5 George's Dock, IFSC, Dublin 1 and once terminated you will no longer have payment protection insurance in place. Cardif Pinnacle have the right to terminate your policy of insurance on 30 days notice, and for other reasons as set out in the policy including your failure to provide full and accurate information to Cardif Pinnacle or for any fraud conducted by you.
Governing Law and Nature of the Contract
Your policy of insurance shall be governed by Irish law and shall be in the English language. Communications with Cardif Pinnacle shall be in the English language.
Complaints
Any complaints regarding your insurance product should be made in writing to Cardif Pinnacle, 5 George's Dock, IFSC, Dublin 1. In the event that you are not satisfied with any of the responses that you have received you can refer the matter to the Financial Services Ombudsman, 3rd Floor, Lincoln House, Lincoln Place, Dublin 2, LoCall 1890 882090. The courts of Ireland shall have jurisdiction to hear any disputes between you and Cardif Pinnacle.
